Did Pete Best receive Beatles royalties?

Pete Best was sacked from The Beatles in August 1962. Six months later they were were number one in the UK.  


For thirty-three years, Best did receive any royalties for the recordings he made with The Beatles It was the release of Anthology 1 (1995) that finally resulted in a pay day. Pete featured on nine recordings prior to their first official studio album, plus on the 1962 Decca audition version of Love Me Do.


Best had played on the Tony Sheridan recordings, including My Bonnie (the song which led Brian Epstein to the Beatles via a customer enquiry at his NEMS record shop.

The  initial payment has been estimated to have been between $6 and $9 million.
