Non-original Beatles' singles?
George Martin wanted The Beatles to release "How Do You Do It (Mitch Mitchell) for their first single. They insisted on their own composition (Love Me Do).
All the 'A' sides of the Beatles' British singles would be original compositions. This unwritten rule did not apply to overseas releases.
