John Lennon's secret sister?
Ingrid Pedersen (1945 -) the half sister John Lennon never knew he had. John Lennon was in contact with two (half) sisters - Julia and Jackie from an early age. Two half brothers on the paternal side arrived when he was an adult - see here . But throughout his life John suspected he might be have another sibling on the maternal side. In 1964 he even hired a private detective to investigate. John's hunch may have been based on overheard remarks in his childhood. Confirmation only came nearly two decades after his death. In 1998 Ingrid (formerly Victoria) Pedersen revealed that she was Julia's third biological daughter. John's 'secret sibling' came from a short relationship with a Welsh soldier 'Taffy' Williams, stationed in Liverpool 1944. Unsurprisingly - given that Williams is one of the most common Welsh surnames and Taffy a generic nickname for any Welsh male - this identity has never been confirmed.
